Saffron Milktart Brûlée

If I think of South Africans, I think of food.  More specifically celebrating something (with food).
We are a nation that flourishes in front of the stove, whether we make food, or just enjoy it.
We can disagree all we want, but  lekker is lekker!
And what is better than coffee and a slice of milktart?
However, if we are using saffron, it cannot just be any milktart?
No no no…It must, at all costs be a little FANCY!
A touch of French influence for that extra flair…and voila!  A mouth watering Milktart Brûlée will have your guests ‘Oe’ing and Ah’ing’ all the way!
Use this recipe as a good excuse to enjoy the good things in life.
Better hurry, your guests are waiting!
